FENG SHUI BAGUA MAP

The Bagua Map is one of the most popular tools in Feng Shui. It shows how different areas of your home correspond to different areas of your life, offering a simple way to begin looking at your space through a new Feng Shui lens—and discovering what your home may be saying.

Enter your email below, and I’ll send your Free Bagua Map directly to your inbox.

CLUTTER

As you begin releasing clutter from your space, there are many ways to pass items forward with intention. Donation centers such as Goodwill and Salvation Army are wonderful options, and community resources such as Freecycle, neighborhood groups, resale platforms and local donation organizations can help items find a new home.

I have had such a positive experience with Freecycle over the years. You choose your geographic area and post the item. People respond if they are interested, and you decide who receives it.

One of the things I appreciate most is knowing that items are continuing their journey and being appreciated again. Releasing clutter can become less about “getting rid of things” and more about creating space while allowing objects to have a new life.

My experience has been that people are appreciative, respectful and grateful. Of course, this is my personal experience, but it has made the process of decluttering feel much more heart-centered.

Resources to explore:

  • Freecycle
  • Neighborhood groups (Nextdoor, community pages)
  • OfferUp
  • Donation centers
  • Local pickup charities (I’ve had a lot of luck with PickupPlease.org)
  • Resale platforms

KEEPING PETS SAFE

We love plants in Feng Shui. They are amazing chi (energy) enhancers, but please be careful if you have pets. The ASPCA has extensive lists on which plants are toxic and non toxic to different animals. If you have pets, please check before bringing plants into your spaces.

Here is a great resource with lots of ideas about keeping pets safe in different areas, such as bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchens and garages.  Pets love to get into things so we want to safeguard our spaces so that we keep our pets safe and secure.

IDEAS ON WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR OLD MATTRESS

There are several reasons one might want to, or need to, get a new mattress. It may just be time, or there are times when Feng Shui recommends getting a new mattress. Whatever the circumstances, we want to be responsible when discarding our old ones.  Here is an article with some great green ideas.
